Art Explosion Summer Camps 2020 - Bethel Park

 

Creating Wild Places & Wild Things with Art (Ages 6 and up)

In this fun four-day camp
children will get creative using their imagination to paint, draw and sculpt their
vision of habitats and the creatures that would live there. We’ll learn about artists
like Maurice Sendak letting him inspire our “wild thing” and Faith Ringgold
creating our own collage story board. Children will have fun field sketching,
exploring and playing games. We’ll use a variety of materials like paint, markers,
colored pencils, chalk pastels, model magic to name a few and children will take
home a finished piece of artwork everyday of camp. Come join us as we have fun
getting creative and learning about the wonderful world of art.

 

  • Session Times: 1:30 - 3:30 pm
  • Dates: Monday June 15 - Thursday June 18, 2020
  • Ages 6 and up
  • Cost - $85 + $10 materials fee

Exploring & Creating Wild Things with Art (Ages 4 - 8)

In this fun four-day camp

creativity to paint, draw and sculpt our own creatures . We’ll learn about
artist/illustrator Maurice Sendak letting him inspire our “wild thing” and create a
collage of where our creature would live. Children will have fun playing games,
field sketching and exploring. We’ll use a variety of materials like paint, markers,
colored pencils, chalk pastels and model magic to name a few. Children will take
home a finished piece of artwork everyday of camp. Come join us as we have fun
getting creative and learning about the wonderful world of art.

Visiting the Seashore Through Art (Ages 6 and up)

In this fun four-day camp children will
take a visual trip to the seashore, using their creativity to create artwork inspired by
the ocean and animals that live there. We’ll learn about marine wildlife artist,
biologist, conservationist Guy Harvey, letting him inspire our artwork. Children
will use watercolors and learn a wet on wet technique to paint their shorelines.
We’ll create a collage of what will be on our beach and a sculpture of our favorite
seashells. Children will have fun playing games, field sketching and exploring.
We’ll use a variety of materials like paint, markers, colored pencils, chalk pastels,
model magic to name a few and children will take home a finished piece of
artwork everyday of camp. Come join us as we have fun getting creative and
learning about the wonderful world of art.
